private beach at the Hotel Dei Castelli near Cinque Terre
The Grand Hotel dei Castelli has a natural swimming pool and its bathing establishment is made of sandy areas, ideal for families with children, and intimate pitches on the rock, exclusive and very romantic.
Opening hour is from 9 to 19, starting in early June up to mid-September, depending on weather conditions; the number of places is quite limited (only 29) thus ensuring a total privacy.
Due to hygienic and safety reasons, dogs – allowed in the hotel- cannot access to the pool and the private beach.
The beach bar provides cocktails and drinks throughout the day and salads as well as cold and hot dishes at lunchtime (to be paid directly). The beach can also be reached by the lift directly from the park
The natural park of the hotel, approx. 18.000 sq.mt. offers exclusively to the guests of the hotel, an enchanting walk along the famous bay watching over the two seas of Sestri Levante, the Bay of Silence and the Bay of Fairytales. The famous Danish novelist Hans C. Andersen, stayed for a long while in Sestri and still lives here in the citadel through the annual competition dedicated to literature for children. Another famous “citizen” of Sestri has been Richard Wagner who included a storm echo in some passages of the “Tretalogy” reminding when he was surprised by a storm onboard of a small boat off the coasts of the Promontory.
The roof of the Castle of Cipressi hosts a solarium-terrace.
